This master's degree trains students to work as regulated general health psychologists. Some examples of the professional activities typically performed by general health psychologists include: private welfare consultations and centres, work at centres or institutions that develop programmes to prevent mental disorders, to promote health or care for the disabled, work at rehabilitation centres for people with health problems or disabilities, work child development and primary care centres, work at centres attending to people with drug addictions, centres that carry out prevention, support or intervention programmes with families at risk and/or assistance with minors, old people’s homes or prisons, among others.
