Placement test for 2026-2027 academic year

If you do not know your level of English or you cannot prove it through a certificate,we will help youto identify your level and guide you on the most appropriate course in your case.null

The placement test consists of answering a questionnaire of 75 multiple choice questions (30 min).You can also request a tutorial with the English teaching staff (20 minutes).
This test is only available during the enrolment period of the courses.

Register for the placement test (from 3 to 25 September)

  • Go to English language-level test and click on enrol
  • Identify yourself with your user name and password, verify your personal data and make sure you finish the process.
  • You should receive an automatic confirmation mail.

Take the online test

Go to the English test (to access this you will need your user ID and password.If you cannot access it, check that you have enrolled for the test. If you have any problems, contact us at llengues@udg.edu or on 972418264.

Once the test has finished, an automatic result will appear.

  • If the result is level A1, A2, we encourage you to improve your level of English before signing up for a UdG Languages course.Unfortunately for the 2026-2027 academic year, we do not offer any course that meets your needs. 
  • If the result is B1, we recommend that you have a tutorial with the English teaching staff to evaluate the different options available to you.
  • If the result is B2.1 or B2you can enrol online for the B2 course.Enrol online
  • If the result of the test is B2 or higher, go to STEP 3

If you want to access a B2, C1.1, or C1 level course, you will need to book a date and time for a tutorial

Request an appointment for the tutorial based on the level you want to access:

  • If you want to access a level C1.1 or C1 course, you will need to request a date and time for a tutorial at this link.
  • If you want to access a B2 level course, we recommend that you book a day and time for a tutorial.
    If you want to do the tutorial from 7 to 15 September, select the date and time at this link
    . If you want to do the tutorial from the 16 to 24 September, select the date and time at this link.

Once you have made the booking, you will receive an automatic confirmation email of the date, time and Teams link for the virtual interview.(available from 3 September). 

Important for PTGAS/PDI staff: if you wish to access the International English A2 or B1 course, you do not need to attend the tutorial session.

Enrol online

Once you have completed the placement test and the tutorial session, the result will be entered into your UdGLlengües file (it will display "Placement + your level"), and you will be able to enrol online on a course at the next level up: Online enrolment.

Take into account

The purpose of this placement test is only to determine access to the language course at the corresponding level.Under no circumstances does this result constitute an official accreditation of the level attained, nor is it stated in the students’ academic record nor in the staff of the UdG or of UdGLl's academic record.Likewise, this test is not used to prove the level of third language required for bachelor's degree students. It is not an accreditation test and it is not certified.
