IMPORTING PUBLICATIONS FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE

Gerió allows publications to be imported from databases such as Scopus and WoS.To do so, follow these steps:

1.Access and search

  • Go to the Personal > Scientific production> ‘+ Add new’ menu.
  • Select ‘Import from an online source.
  • Choose the source (e.g. Scopus) and search for the publication by DOI, certificate, ORCID or author.

2. Import

Once you have located the article, click on ‘Import’ and review the authors and affiliations:

  • ‘Import and save’: if all the data is correct.
  • ‘Import and review’: if you need to edit any information or complete mandatory fields (marked with an asterisk).Once published, click on ‘Save’.

To complete the addition to your profile, don't forget to click on the ‘claim this content’ button.

3. Management of abstracts and languages

To ensure that abstracts appear correctly on the Research Portal, they must be entered separately for each language (Catalan, Spanish and English). The Portal will only display the versions you have added.

4.Validation by the library

Once submitted, the publication will be reviewed by the library staff:

  • Validated publication: the record will be permanently added to your profile (the system does not send automatic notifications; you will need to check the status of the record manually).
  • Pending publication: if an error is detected, you will receive a notification and will need to amend the data requested.

CONFIGURE AUTOMATIC SEARCH FOR PUBLICATIONS

Gerió can automatically locate publications related to your research activity. When the system detects a new record, you will receive a notification (via the programme itself or by email) so that you can validate its incorporation into our profile.

How to configure it:

  • Access the profile editor.
  • Select the ‘automatic search’ section.
