The Joint Doctoral Programme in Tourism at the University of Girona is the result of the close collaboration between the University of Girona and the University of the Balearic Islands in the area of tourism and the experience of the participating researchers in this field of study.The aim is to train researchers who are able to integrate cross-disciplinary methods and concepts, and to promote intensive specialisation in some of the programme's lines of specialisation as well as the acquisition of general skills related to working independently and in a group.

Master in Tourism Management and Planning

The master's degree is aimed at providing students with advanced knowledge in tourism to enable them to take on expert and management positions in companies and public authorities and to work as a qualified member of staff in the world of professional consultancy, entrepreneurial innovation and academic study in the field of tourism.

Master in Cultural Tourism

The Master in Cultural Tourism, the only official master's degree in Spain in this area, takes on this challenge in its education plan with a special focus on the tourist management of cultural heritage and food products, aimed at cultural and tourism students, experts and managers.
