Institute of Informatics and Applications

Presentation

The Institute of Computer Science and Applications, IIiA, is research institute at the University of Girona dedicated to R+D+I in the ICT sphere. Founded in 1996, it is made up of researchers from the Departments of Computer Architecture and Technology; Electrical, Electronic and Automated Engineering and Computer Science; and Applied Mathematics and Statistics; and organised into four research groups:

Its objectives are to promote R+D of an international quality in ICT, to foster the transfer of technology and innovation in ICT, to promote advanced education in ICT and to achieve competitive funding at local, national and international level for these activities.
