Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.

The project intends to fill a gap given the lack of systematisation of the resilient systems’ identification, which is all the more evident if we focus the research on children and young people, but this is not free of risks. One of them refers to access and difficulties in collecting data. It is precisely to minimise this risk that the selection of the geographical areas was so important, as was the achievement of participation in designing, applying and analysing the results of key persons, both from the the public authorities and from organisations, who helped to make the project more feasible and suitable, according to field and geographical area:
The function of the advisory board was very much geared towards the internationalisation of the project. Its task was to advise when the first results are available and participate in the final conference to help promote the significance and dissemination of the results at international level.
