So the work and activity of this research group is concentrated on child and youth policies, focuses attention on the vulnerable situations that some children and young people suffer and explores the community development that might enable specific public policies to be rolled out.

Objectives

  • To conduct research on childhood, youth and in the area of the community development with an interdisciplinary approach.
  • To analyse and evaluate the policies and the programmes that provide the framework for actions in relation to childhood, youth and community development.
  • To promote research focused on empowering children, young people and communities.
  • To generate knowledge and strategies to promote logics of educational and social equity in childhood, youth and the community.
  • To carry out applied research centred on the child and youth population in a situation of vulnerability and at risk of social exclusion, in environments that generate inequality, poverty or violence.
