Animal Biology Research Group

Ichthyology

We are researching several aspects of the biology of salt-water fish species: feeding strategy, reproductive strategy, prevalence of parasites, the impact of fishing on populations and the impact of pollutants on the health of fish, heavy metals in particular. We are interested in analysing the consequences that this impact is having on the quality of fish and how it can affect consumers
