Territorial and Environmental Analysis and Planning

The group combines basic research and investigation activities with applied research and investigation. The main lines of research and investigation are:

ANALYSIS OF TERRITORIAL AND URBAN STRUCTURES AND DYNAMICS

  • Analysis of territorial stakeholders, dynamics for local development, and territorial conflicts generated.
  • Definition of methodologies for the specification of urban areas in Catalonia, and analysis and typology of their internal structure.
  • Studies for the development of urban and territorial planning.

CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION

  • Analysis of the geopolitics of projects, stakeholders and territorial results in the cross-border sphere.
  • Analysis of cross-border cooperation processes at local, regional and macro-regional level on European borders.
