Allowances and exemptions

Academic year 2026-2027

There are specific situations in official teaching that enable exemptions to or allowances for enrolment fees.To apply for this, the circumstances giving right to the deduction must be accredited.

General terms and conditions

Beneficiaries
Official bachelor's-, master’s- or doctoral-degree students, depending on the case
Allowance or exemption
Demonstrated circumstances may exempt the student from paying the enrolment fee in full or entitle them to different discounts.

At affiliated centres, the discounts are applied to the price students pay the UdG for academic supervision (in accordance with Article 2.3 of the pricing decree).

Certain fees linked to enrolment are mandatory and not subject to reductions: online teaching and administrative services (€70), school insurance (€1.12 only for students under 28 years of age), and accident insurance (€2.50, mandatory for those over 28 years of age).
Accreditation
Before you register, click the self-enrolment’s "Grants and allowances" tab.If you have any demonstrated discount or exemption, you can enjoy the corresponding discount or exemption on the enrolment fee.

If you are eligible for allowances or exemptions that are not yet recorded in the system, initiate the verification process by clicking the corresponding "Request" button and attaching the necessary documentation (you may also use the "Documentary Verification" online procedure).

Please note that simply requesting verification does not automatically grant you the discount or fee waiver.Your academic office must first validate the documentation you submit. Therefore, it is advisable to submit your request a few days before finalising your enrolment. If the documentation has not yet been validated at the time of enrolment, you will have to proceed with standard enrolment (without any discount); however, once verification is obtained, the corresponding reduction or exemption will be applied.

Validation will be considered final if you provide electronic documents that allow for authenticity verification - whether via digital signature, Secure Verification Code (CSV) or QR code.Otherwise, the University reserves the right to ask you to submit the original documentation.
Comments
The proved conditions have to be valid in the moment that the enrolment is made.If the condition has been accredited in previous academic years and is still valid on the start date of the academic year (see the academic calendar), there will be no need to produce any documents.

If the verification is valid at the time of enrolment but expires before the course start date, you may submit renewed documentation by 31 December via the "Documentary Verification" online procedure.
