Cancellation of enrolment on or final drop-out from the doctoral programme

Doctorate

Doctoral students may apply at any time to permanently drop out of the doctoral programme they are or have been enrolled on.They can also cancel their enrolment at any time during the academic year, provided it is justified, and the annulment is approved by the corresponding doctoral programme’s academic committee.There are no refunds for enrolment cancellations.

Who

Students enrolled on a doctoral programme who wish to permanently drop out of the programme or cancel their enrolment for the coming academic year.

Where
The application must be submitted online, through the UdG Online Secretary's Office.
When
The application can be submitted at any moment of the academic course.
How?

To formalise their applications students will have to access the Procedures section of the Virtual Secretary's Office, start the general “Administration application” procedure, choose the “Application to cancel enrolment or permanently drop out of the doctoral programme” option and attach the enrolment-cancellation or permanent drop-out application form, duly filled in.

Who

The body responsible for resolving the application is the academic committee of the corresponding doctoral programme.

How?
Once the procedure has been completed, the student will receive an electronic notification with a link to the resolution of the application.
The resolution does not represent the end of the administrative process. An appeal may be lodged with the Rector of the University against the resolution within a period of one month following the day of the notification, in accordance with the provisions of articles 121 and in accordance with Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on common administrative procedure for public administrations.
