Observacions

This is a subject that addresses the concepts related to the strategies and tools of new information technologies, paying special attention to the different social media platforms and their particularities to achieve effective communication with audiences, improve the digital positioning of tourism companies and destinations, and design relevant content that contributes to the strategic objectives of organizations in the sector.
The figure of the community manager has become a fundamental pillar for organizations as they channel the voice of the company in digital environments and cultivate lasting relationships with audiences. In the tourism sector, its relevance is even greater as it acts as a virtual host throughout the traveller journey, inspires in the dreaming phase with emotional content, guides planning and reinforces confidence at the time of booking and during the stay through agile and personalised responses. In addition, their figure is crucial as they manage online reputation in the face of reviews and crises, boost the creation of user-generated content and, thanks to social analytics, provide key data that allow the offer to be adjusted and improve the overall traveller experience.

On the other hand, it is recommended that all students:

1. Respect for an appropriate learning and study environment in order to be able to take advantage of the theoretical and practical content that the teacher makes available to them throughout the development of the subject in an effective and efficient way
2. Attendance at individual tutorials, as it is a proven method of learning aid that is very useful and useful, especially in those cases where it is more difficult to understand the contents of the subject.

In this subject, an attendance control will be carried out at the beginning of each session for purely statistical purposes. Attendance is not mandatory, although it is fully recommended. Punctuality is required at the beginning of classes, so that the sessions take place with the least possible inconvenience. Since attendance at the sessions is not compulsory, students are required to have absolute respect for the teaching staff and the rest of the students (otherwise, they will be invited to leave the classroom).

Throughout the course, several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be handled or used, specifically those related to quality education, gender equality, reduction of inequalities, responsible production and consumption, climate action and partnerships to achieve goals.

Likewise, the gender perspective will be incorporated into the development of the sessions and various transversal competencies (soft skills) such as critical thinking, integrity, empathy, teamwork, constant and independent learning, communication, creativity and innovation, data analysis, digital skills, courtesy, flexibility, professionalism, responsibility, attitude towards work, professional ethics, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation will be worked on.
