The Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies is a cross-disciplinary course for students all over the world looking to work from an international perspective.In a context of structural changes, we need specialists with a global outlook who can accompany political decisions and analyse the role of increasingly interconnected citizens.
The challenges that represent the climatic change, the increase of the migrations or the shortage of resources, the political and economic programmes implemented in a local scale, national or regional, as well as the determining role of the technology and the use of the information to communicate these phenomena, they exemplify the complexity of the present.
The bachelor's degree Global Studies, of recent implementation and with an innovative methodology, the estudiantat will enable for the critical analysis and the elaboration of proposals, the advice and the solution of problems related with global environments.

The future prospects for students of Global Studies are very promising.With an education in global studies, the students develop an extensive and deep understanding of the current world, including social, political, economic and environmental questions there.Among others, we highlight the following openings:
a) Public sector: diplomatic career and civil service of the European Union and other international organisations (both after passing a competition or competitive entrance exam); public employee with international relations and foreign trade agencies of autonomous communities and municipalities; manager of international projects and programmes; specialist in development cooperation programmes; analyst and consultant with think tanks and communication professional in the area of international relations.
b) Private sector: professional in companies with international orientation (trade, investments abroad, etc.);Analyst and consultant of political parties and party foundations; analyst and advisor of private consultants geared towards the business world; specialist and manager of development cooperation programmes; journalist specialising in international information.
c) Teaching and research: professor in areas of social sciences in secondary and university education; researcher in one of the fields of knowledge in international relations.

Placements
The bachelor's degree offers the opportunity to complete a placement at companies and institutions that work in the international sphere, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real contexts and to construct a global network of professional contacts.
Students will be able to do curricular placements in companies or institutions through an optional subject of placements during the fourth year.
Bachelor's thesis
To obtain the degree, students have to complete a bachelor's thesis (TFG) which serves to assess the general skills they have acquired over the course of the degree programme and offers a summary of the skills and knowledge they have acquired.
Mobility
One of the strong points of the bachelor's degree in Global Studies is its clear commitment to internationalisation.In the third year, students will have the option of going abroad, where they will be able to continue their academic education and experience a unique cultural immersion.
Students will study a semester of their degree abroad through different international mobility programmes: the Erasmus programme, which allows you to continue your studies in an international exchange at a European university, or the Prometheus programme, at universities in third countries and other continents.

The bachelor's degree in Global Studies is firmly committed to Service Learning (APS), offering students a practical education committed to the community.Through different service learning project subjects that will be taken throughout the degree, the student will work on real projects that address social issues, thus developing critical and creative skills while contributing to the well-being of society.
This methodology prepares students for facing the challenges in today's world with a global and solidarity vision.
Global Week: culture and experiences for education
During the course, students can enjoy Global Weeks, two weeks (first and second quarter) dedicated to training and cultural activities that will complement subject content.
These workshops will include cinema cycles, exclusive lectures with experts in different areas, book presentations and visits to spaces of international interest.
These activities will enrich students’ academic experience, offering them new perspectives and opportunities to delve deeper into global knowledge.
