Pilar Marques Gou is an associate professor in the department of business administration at the University of Girona. She is currently the director of the Chair of Family Business at the same university and she has been the promoter and is the current director of the Masters in Entrepreneurship and Business Development at the University of Girona, launched in 2014. She formerly was deputy vicerector for International Policy at the same university and research coordinator at the Chair of Family Business. She has participated as external expert in European projects regarding innovation in SMEs and has been a researcher or director in several projects within Spanish research schemes. She holds a PhD in management from the University of Girona and a Licenciatura in Economics and Business from the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona. Her teaching activities focus on strategic management and family business. Her international experience is based on her current academic responsibilities and research activities, her post-doctoral stays abroad and her former professional experience in a global manufacturing company. Her current research is related to family business, especially regarding corporate social responsibility and innovation, with publications in international journals, such as the Family Business Review, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and European Journal of International Management.
