The Chair of Information and Computing was created with support from the Department of Computer Science, Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the UdG and thanks to the sponsorship of the Universitat de Girona and three companies with their head office in Girona: Nexus Geographics, DXC Technology and Eurecat. The Chair also enjoys the support and participation of thePolytechnic School of the UdG and the UdG Polytechnic Association.
Nexus Geographics is a company specialising in Geolocation and Smart Cities. It develops BigData applications which provide service for over 1000 companies. The company has 100 specialists and has been going for 25 years.
DXC Technology helps global companies to ensure the functioning of their systems and critical missions operations. They provide service for hundreds of big businesses and have about 8,000 employees around the Iberian peninsula.
EURECAT, Technology Centre of Catalonia, offers applied R+D, technological services, highly specialised training, technological consulting and professional events. It brings together the experience of 750 professionals and provides service for 2000 companies.
Accenture helps the main companies, governments and other organisations in the world to develop their digital cores and optimise their operations. It has around 733,000 people who provide services to clients in over 120 countries.
