Bellapart Chair of Light and Glass Structures

Objectives

One of Bellapart’s cornerstones has always been constant innovation and its goal is to play an active part in the education of future talent in society. Over 20 years of close collaboration with the University of Girona.

They foster research as the main tool for achieving innovative, avant-garde and ground-breaking solutions and believe in a collaborative society. Sharing knowledge and growing together.

The Chair’s 3 lines of action are: education, research and dissemination.

a) Education:

  • Workshops and lectures from specialists in the sector.
  • Participation in teaching the Master in Mechanics of Materials and Structures (MMS master)
  • Scholarship to do the Master
  • Joint authorisation for Bachelor's or Master’s Theses.
  • Prizes for best master's theses.

b) Promoting research:

  • Doing Industrial Doctoral Degrees
  • Promoting research lines.
  • Organising congresses / workshops.
  • Application and joint participation in research projects in the development of patents.

c) Disclosing and disseminating technology

  • Preparing publications.
  • Promoting day events and lecture cycles for disseminating and promoting scientific-technical events.
  • Dissemination of the initiatives carried out, through our communication channels.

Bellapart Scholarship

Bellapart will similarly grant an (MMS) scholarship to students Master of Science in “Mechanics of Materials and Structures” for doing a master's thesis in a subject proposed by Bellapart in its central offices.
