The activities of the chair are governed by a Monitoring Committee, made up of:

AMADE, mainly made up of professors from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Construction, was created in 2000 and focuses its research on the analysis and simulation of the behaviour of advanced materials (such as resins reinforced with carbon fibre or glass fibre) in applications ranging from wind energy and aerospace to building. The AMADE - Analysis and Materials for Structural Design - research group has 16 full-time professors, 19 doctoral degree students, 2 post-docs and 10 experts in the 2019-20 academic year.
