The basic objectives of the Chair are: the promotion of dissemination, study and training in HIA, especially for young people in educational, academic, health and administration environments, and in society in general; the stimulation of research and knowledge transfer in the field of HIA; the monitoring of the evolution of the training of professionals in Catalonia, and of the identification and care of people identified as having HIA in educational and health environments; and the promotion and contribution to the inclusion of the subject of HIA in degrees and masters in the fields of education, psychology and health.

The work of the Chair is based on study, dissemination, training and research in relation to HIA, and may be carried out via the following lines of action: dissemination conferences aimed at universities, educational centres and services, health centres and the general public; providing training courses on the specific topics that may arise from the interests and needs of professionals involved in HIA;promotion of studies and research on HIA; support and prizes for upper secondary education, bachelor's and master's degree students for TDX, TFG and TFMs related to HIA; and support for student initiatives that align with the objectives of the Chair.
