Girona, 1968. He teaches Medieval Literature at the Universitat de Girona since 1991, where he became an Associate Professor in Catalan Philology in 2001. Visiting Professor at the Université de Provence Aix-Marseille I (1992-93). He obtained a PhD in Romance Philology (Universitat de Barcelona, 1999) with a dissertation on the medieval Catalan translation of Pope Innocent III's Commentarium in Septem Psalmos Poenitentiales, supervised by Xavier Renedo. He is a researcher at the Institut de Llengua i Cultura Catalanes (UdG), a centre he has directed from 2008 to 2016. He has extensively published on late medieval Catalan literature, particularly on the Catalan chansonnier tradition, the textual transmission of Francesc Eiximenis' works, the textual criticism theory, and the problems and applications of Digital Humanities. He is a member of the editing project Obres de Francesc Eiximenis', co-director of Cançoners DB, and has collaborated on BITECA (Bibliografia de Textos Catalans Antics). He currently prepares a monographic volume on troubadour chansonnier Sg (with Miriam Cabré), and a study of the textual connections between Eiximenis' Segon del Crestià and his Llibre dels àngels. He is also completing a critical edition of these two treatises and an updated version of the database Eiximenis DB. He is contributing editor of the Year's Works in Modern Language Studies (Brill), compiles the annual on-line Bibliografia de Literatura Occitana Medieval (since 2003) and coordinates the website NARPAN (Espai virtual de literatura i cultura medieval).
