Life at the UdG

Theatre workshop

Workshops, corporal expression, improvisation and diction

Information session: 29 September 2023, at 1 pm, in Carrer Castell de Peralada, 14, ("Seguim fent UdG” Space)

The Theatre Hall has been offering theatre, body-expression, improvisation and diction workshops for all students at the university since 1992. At the end of each academic year, we have staged a production at both the UdG and different towns in the regions of Girona. We have also taken part in several university theatre festivals. We have performed some thirty works, such as Roberto Zucco (Bernard Marie Koltès), La Comèdia Sin Título (Federico García Lorca) and Peer Gynt (Henrik Ibsen).

We have also been lucky enough to work with Salvador Oliva, translator and expert of the works of Shakespeare and we have been able to perform works like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Twelfth Night and Macbeth, among others. The Class has also taken part in other joint initiatives with the university itself, with several University Theatres Classes, and with the Girona community, in the case of the various performances given within the framework of Temps de Flors or on the open day at the Museu d'Art de Girona .

More than 30 years of shows

Who are we?

The team bringing the Aula de Teatre is made up of:

Meritxell Torres - Director of the Aula de Teatre.
Jordi Fuentes - Light and sound technician.
