UdG actions for peace

Here, you will find all the actions, workshops, lectures, and talks on Human Rights, Peace, Community Life, and Social Cohesion held at the University of Girona. The aim is to offer an overview of the events and activities that foster respect, equality, peace and social justice both inside and outside the university.

Meeting ‘For Palestine, for Human Rights’

A day dedicated to Palestine and human rights was held with a talk, a presentation of organisations, an open debate and an artistic installation inviting reflection on the link between consumption and conflict.

1st Annual Meeting of the Network of Teaching Innovation on Human Rights, Peace and Sustainability

A discussion was held with Yésica Méndez, a defender of human rights in Colombia, where she shared her experience in defending the region and country people, as well as in strategies of collective protection and sustainability, in a space for dialogue about the social and environmental struggles of Magdalena Medio.

Human Rights and University.Questions and answers to the genocide in Gaza

The event was held from 10 am to 2 pm, with the institutional participation of Marco Aparicio, director of the UNESCO International Chair, and Sílvia Llach, vice-rector of Territory and Social Commitment, as well as the contributions of Ilan Pappé (University of Exeter), Vicent Eechaudt (University of Ghent) and a round table with Sonia Boulos (Nebrija University), Jordi Bonet (UB) and Marta Venceslao (UB), as well as the participation of students from the universities of Granada, Barcelona and Girona.

Roundtable: Building peace in Colombia, challenges and opportunities
