A Master in Industrial Engineering qualifies its graduates to work professionally as industrial engineers.It provides general training that allows students to develop the professional tasks pertaining to all technical areas of industrial companies, both in the resolution of the technical problems proposed and the design and implantation of new technologies in the production process.

The general training provided to industrial engineers covers a wide range of areas, including mechanical engineering, production management, electricity, electronics, new materials, power and the environment...If combined with the skills of the data science, it will open up the possibility of a job as a digital analyst in the marketing department, as a data architect for Business Intelligence systems (in charge  of selecting, organising and structuring the information in the company’s different platforms), a happy curator (responsible of for searching, grouping and organising information that will be shared in-house and outside the company, serving as critical intermediary, able to discriminate depending on the importance of the data), Chief Data Officer (responsible for the governance and the use of the information as an asset for all the company, through data processing, analysis, data mining, exchanging information and other means) and a big data analyst.

The combination of a knowledge industrial engineering data science will give rise to professionals capable of studying in more depth the performance of processes and the productive environment, and more capable of optimising them, either by interpreting the information extracted from the data or developing tools to assist decision making.In general, this combination will make it possible to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of industry 4.0.
