Process, Product and Production Engineering Research Group

GREP

The GREP, Research Group on Product Engineering, Processes and Production, was created in 1998 by members of the University of Girona. The group is made up of doctors in industrial engineering and medicine, industrial engineers, IT engineers, industrial design engineers and economists. Its activity focuses on various areas of the productive economy, such as the engineering of processes and production. In 2006, a scientific collaboration agreement was signed for research and training in the field of the manufacturing technologies between the UdG and EURECAT. This collaboration has been channelled through the GREP since then.

What do we offer?

The GREP has more than 600m2 of floor space in all, located in various facilities in the University of Girona, the UdG Science and Technology Park and EURECAT. It also has high-tech machinery representing an accumulated investment of 2 million euros in facilities and equipment..

Services

  • Measuring the dimensional quality and roughness of pieces with ENAC certified machines
  • Ongoing education of research staff and those in charge of projects and products. This research is detailed more specifically in the Research/lines section.
  • Development of projects relating to the lines of research of the group.
