La figura del/a mentor/a se situa en una posició d'igualtat. És una persona que facilita, afavoreix i potencia les necessitats i el desenvolupament de l'estudiant mentorat/da. D'aquesta manera s'ha de formar en un ampli ventall de competències i valors. El/la mentor/a realitzarà un pla de formació impartit pels professors/es tutors, els mentors/es sèniors i algun professional extern. En aquest curs es treballaran competències i valors alineats amb el Model Acadèmic de Psicologia (MAP) :
