Doctoral thesis supervision procedure at the University of Girona

Approved by the Management Committee of the Doctoral School in session 1/2011, of 9 September 2011, and amended in sessions 2/2020, of 29 April, 4/2021, of 28 June, and 6/2023, of 8 November.

This document details the procedure for monitoring doctoral theses that will be followed at the University of Girona.Annual monitoring and evaluation will be carried out by the academic committee of each doctoral programme in two sessions, an ordinary one at the beginning of the year and an extraordinary one at the end of the academic year.

NB: for the students who have started a doctoral studies programme in the academic year 2023-24 or at a later date, the latest modification of the Procedure is applicable, in accordance with the Royal Decree 576/2023.For all other students, the previous version, governed by Royal Decree 99/2011, is applicable.
