The aim of the subject is to equip students with knowledge of basic human anatomy in order to understand the body in motion.The contents combine descriptive anatomy with functional aspects related to physical activity, sport and health.There is a particular focus on analysis of the behaviour of the bones, joints and muscles involved in a particular movement in order to improve efficiency, thereby preparing students to understand other disciplines such as biomechanics or physiology.

Athletics is a basic individual sport as it involves three motor skills that are essential in most sports: running, jumping and throwing.The different athletics specialisms can be classified within these three specializations.Over the course of the subject, students will acquire basic knowledge that will help children to learn during their introduction to athletics: theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge of regulations.At the same time, the subject will ensure that students, through analysis of motor skills and knowledge of corrective guidelines, are able to improve the efficiency of their own motor skills related to jumping, running and throwing.
