Territory as a stage, an instrument and an objective of power relations. The two-fold relationship between geopolitics and communication. On the one hand, looking at how geopolitics uses information and communication - especially cartography - to transmit its visions and objectives, and on the other, at a geopolitical understanding of communication. This second aspect aims to show that communication - media, messages, technologies, etc. - is a dimension of geopolitical relations at both global and local level. It will be structured in three parts: a) an introduction to the concepts, authors and fundamental theories of geopolitics; b) an overview of contemporary geopolitics and its interaction with information and communication; c) an applied and instrumental analysis and the production of cartography and infographics with geopolitical content and purpose.

Public opinion focuses on the analysis of how debates, feelings and arguments are shaped between the masses and political elites at a specific point in time. The mentalities of a specific era and of the present day are shaped by a dialogue between the public, social media, public media and institutions. The various social, economic, political and cultural power groups seek to gain primacy for their own arguments in the eyes of public opinion.

Media pluralism, the situation in Europe and European policies on the subject. Conceptual framework with regard to information clutter: types (misinformation, disinformation, malinformation), stages (creation, production and distribution), elements (agent, message and interpreter). Types of responses to information disorder, with particular emphasis on UNESCO and European Commission proposals. Links between pluralism, information clutter and democracy.
