Descripció:
- La Medicina del medi natural és una disciplina que respon a la necessitat de proporcionar serveis de salut a les persones allunyades dels recursos de salut urbans i en entorns naturals sovint hostils (en la naturalesa extrema o fora de control les condicions ambientals, en àrees amb els recursos absents o insuficients, o en àrees en les que hi ha un retard substancial en el transport o l'arribada de l'atenció mèdica definitiva). Els factors ambientals afecten a la fisiologia del pacient i a l’evolució de les malalties. En situacions extremes els recursos son limitats i en entorns difícils els tractaments ideals dictats per les normes d'atenció poden no ésser els més adequats una la situació determinada i a vegades cal fer un fort èmfasi en la improvisació. En aquestes situacions es produeix una demora en l'accés a l'atenció mèdica definitiva que es produeix a causa de la distància, la logística o els perills. Els professionals mèdics dedicats a aquesta disciplina han d’actuar més enllà del seu paper de metge tradicional i aprofitar les habilitats típicament assignades a d’altres professionals de la salut.

Competències
- Reconèixer els elements essencials de la professió mèdica, que incloguin els principis ètics, les responsabilitats legals i l'exercici professional centrat en el pacient
- Desenvolupar la pràctica professional amb respecte pels altres professionals de la salut, adquirint habilitats de treball en equip
- Comunicar-se de manera efectiva i clara, tant oralment com per escrit, amb els pacients, els familiars, els mitjans de comunicació i altres professionals
- Conèixer, valorar críticament i saber utilitzar les fonts d'informació clínica i biomèdica per a obtenir, organitzar, interpretar i comunicar la informació científica i sanitària
- Saber utilitzar les tecnologies de la informació i la comunicació en les activitats clíniques, terapèutiques, preventives i d'investigació
- Tenir, en l'activitat professional, un punt de vista crític, creatiu, amb escepticisme constructiu i orientat a la recerca
- Garantir el coneixement adequat de la llengua anglesa, tant oral com escrita, tenint en compte les especificitats del registre mèdic per a poder comunicar-se eficaçment a la comunitat internacional científica i professional

Make-up test: The maximum grade that can be obtained from the evaluations of the suspended activities will be a 5 if the student is considered suitable, regardless of the grade obtained from this evaluation. This grade will be averaged with the grade that the student has obtained in the other assessable activities and that he/she has previously passed.
The % of PBLs that have not been attended to consider that the PBL cannot be evaluated will be 20% (>20% not attended)
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
The mark "No Presentat" corresponts to the student who has not done any of the evaluation activities.
Avaluació única:
Based on the resolution of the Governing Committee of the Faculty of Medicine of September 15, 2020, point 3 of Article 8 states that applications for single evaluation must be submitted no later than one week before the end of the module
Requisits mínims per aprovar:
To consider the subject passed, a minimum grade of 5.0 must be obtained
To approve the subject, it will be necessary to approve the different activities that can be evaluated separately
All evaluation activities will be in English
Tutoria
The days of tutoring will be after the PBL session facilitated by the teacher requested, after an appointment made by email.
