Rosa Ros Massana és professora d'Història econòmica al departament d'Economia i membre del Centre de Recerca d'Història Rural de la Universitat de Girona. És doctora en Història per la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1996), amb una tesi doctoral sobre la indústria llanera de Béjar (Salamanca), que fou publicada amb el títol La industria textil lanera de Béjar, 1680-1850. La formación de un enclave industrial (1999). Més recentment, ha centrat la seva activitat en tres línies de recerca: la indústria surera, les transformacions de les pràctiques hereditàries i el canvi social a la regió de Girona durant els segles XVIII i XIX. Ha publicat en revistes com ara Revista de Historia Industrial, Journal of Family History, Continuity and Change, Annales de Démographie Historique o Journal of Social History. Rosa Ros Massana is a lecturer of Economic History in the Department of Economics at the University of Girona. She is also member of the Rural History Research Centre at the same university. She obtained her PhD in History at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1996), with a dissertation on the wool industry of Béjar (Salamanca), which was published with the title La industria textil lanera de Béjar, 1680-1850. More recently, she has focused her research on three areas: the cork industry, the transformations in inheritance practices, and the social change in the Girona region in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. She has published in journals like Revista de Historia Industrial, Journal of Family History, Continuity and Change, Annales de Démographie Historique o Journal of Social History.
