About the UdG

Eduard Fontserè International Prize for Meteorology and Climatology

The Catalan Association of Meteorology (ACAM), a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and disseminating of knowledge of meteorology in the Mediterranean, presented the winning work of the 2019 Eduard Fontserè International Prize for Meteorology.
The prize is aimed at promoting research and knowledge of the Mediterranean’s meteorology and climatology. It is awarded to an article published in a research magazine between 2015 and 2017 focusing on the atmospheric sciences indexed in the SCI (Science Citation Index, Thomson Reuters) or SCOPUS and representing an important contribution in knowledge of the Mediterranean's meteorology and the climatology. It is sponsored and supported by the Catalan Meteorological Service (SMC) and the Manager's Office for Environmental Services at the Barcelona Provincial Council’s Area of Territory and Sustainability.
