The UdG pursues two key aspects through the Solidarity Activities: to intervene in developing students’ transferable skills, promoting their integral development and contributing to their becoming socially active, responsible citizens, this ensuring that the university is perceived to be an institution that is socially and ethically committed, involved with the territory and valuable for society in terms of the contribution it makes to solidarity, equity and social justice.
The library is a learning and research resource centre that makes a series of information resources available to the university community (magazines and e-books, databases, special archives, institutional storage), as well as providing services (document loans and acquisitions, advice and education, research support services, cultural activities) in order to contribute to the whole community attaining their objectives with optimum levels of quality and excellence.
With premises at each campus, it offers modern open facilities seven days a week and dedicated spaces for individual and group study.
The Sports Service is that part of the University of Girona responsible for promoting the practice of physical activity and sport between the university community and its surroundings. Through a varied and accessible programme, it aims to promote healthy habits, foster personal relationships and transmit educational values. With its focus on quality and efficiency, the Sports Service contributes to the broader education and training of university members, understood as a combination of physical well-being, personal development and social cohesion.
The University of Girona Language Service is responsible for promoting knowledge, learning and the use of languages as a tool for cohesion, inclusion and international projection. Within the framework of the UdG’s commitment to Catalan language and culture, the service monitors and ensures their proper use within the university community and promotes the linguistic acceptance of new members, ensuring sufficient knowledge of the co-official languages.
UdG Health (UdGSalut) is the service dedicated to promoting the comprehensive well-being of the university community. Conceived as a benchmark for physical and mental health, it offers a wide range of services, activities and resources designed to care for and enhance the quality of life of students, as well as that of teaching, research, administrative and service staff.
