The goal of the Network is to favour the communication and the work coordinated between the Equality Plan of the University of Girona and the university community in the Faculties of Nursing and Medicine to effectively include the gender perspective and affective-sexual diversity in teaching, research and the management of universities and implement the principle of equality between women and men in our communities.

Both faculties understand gender equality as a cross-disciplinary value that shapes the actions they intend to promote from their respective area of responsibility and want to promote a culture of equity, commitment against discrimination and violence, and the social commitment and transfer of gender-sensitive knowledge and sexual-affective diversity (Second Equality Play of the University of Girona, 2021).
