CoParticiPA

Project description

CoParticiPA

The goal of the coPartici-PA (Spain-Andorra-France) is to guarantee people’s participation in the network of social services and socio-educational and community intervention organisations, through the construction, guidance and assessment of a Transborder Participation Programme (PTP-P), based on people’s agency capacity and the needs of the territory.

The project study area is social services, taking into account six specialised areas for social action (childhood and adolescence; ageing; migration; disability; health and mental health; social exclusion and community action); and university and ongoing education.

Three actions will be carried out:

1. Collaborative diagnosis

Analyses of the needs of the three territories and the agency capacity of people in relation to their participation, as well as the suitability of a programme of socio-educational and community intervention and its digitisation. A state of the question analysis will be conducted to allow for qualitative fieldwork in all areas and with 1,578 individuals, activists, professionals, technical heads and politicians, researchers/teachers and students.

2. The Participation Programme

This consists of constructing and piloting the PTP-P, including the development of a digital tool for the action processes promoted by all stakeholders. It will be complemented with a Teaching Resources Pack. The testing process will be carried out in all territories and areas of action with 1,519 individuals.

3. Evaluation and transfer

This will allow for an evaluation of the process and the results of the pilot project for the PTP-P, with 1,525 individuals, as well as an explanation of the key aspects and the pitfalls to avoid in transferring it to other territories. The innovation in the transborder project is to share work methodologies and to shape them into social action, introducing people’s voices.

The application of actions will involve the development of different information materials, audiovisuals, reports and academic publications. These will be published on the website in the section publications and results.
