AFE Networks. Specialist Family Fostering project

Nobody should grow up in armour

AFE Networks project. Specialist Family Fostering

"AFE Networks, Acogimiento Familiar Especializado" or Specialist Family Fostering, is a pilot scheme led by FICE España, which also involves the Social Initiative Cooperative Agintzari and the Resilis Foundation. It is funded with Next Generation funds through the Spanish Government's Ministry of Social Rights and 2030 Agenda.

The project focuses on children in residential care who do not find their needs met satisfactorily among the existing options available for looked after children and it aims to make specialist family fostering in Catalonia, Basque Country, Madrid and Navarra.

The Liberi team collaborates on this project, analysing the key factors to take into consideration in order to decide if the specialised foster families are suitable and carries out the impact assessment on the specific training these families receive.
