Line of research: Affective bonding and developmental psychopathology, child abuse and maltreatment.Programs of intervention for families at high social risk.Fostering and Adoption.

This research area focuses on the relationship between affective bonds and the psychopathology of development.Our study includes children or teenagers who have suffered affective losses, abuse or mistreatment in childhood or other parent-child-related conflicts.We also focus on the affective and mental processes of mothers and parents who are unable to take care of their children.We study how to carry out parent-child adjustment programmes in vulnerable, foster or adoptive families.
