Area of research born out of the shared concerns of different research teams from the old European SOCRATES network, specialising in children’s rights, and which and took shape with a project in the form of Integrated Spain-Italy Action, 'ERIDIQV, with the team coordinated by Professor Angelo Saporiti from the University of Studi dei Molise, of Campobasso.There will subsequent collaboration from a Brazilian research team.This area explores the conceptualisations and evaluations that children and teenagers make of their own rights, and collects data on their opinions in the light of specific situations, which are considered in the form of dilemmas.The situations are conceived for considering the rights contained in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.Several opinions and attitudes of adults in regular contact with the children studied, parents and teachers alike, on children's rights are explored, with complementary tools.The last few years have seen more serious research in children's social participation.
