Area of research: Numerical and experimental analysis of materials and structures

Study of the mechanical behaviour of materials and structures.The research activity includes experimental observation and its numerical modelling.For the numerical analysis, the method of analysis for finite elements and the formulation of non linear numerical models are used.On the other hand, researchers work with experimental techniques to characterise the mechanical behaviour of materials and structures.This knowledge allows us to confront for example, the analysis of structural applications with advanced materials, the diagnosis of structural integrity, the design and characterization of energy dispersers for earthquake resistant buildings, or the elaboration of numerical tools of design and optimization.
