Area of Research: Determining pathogenesis in semen samples

From DNA analysis using the conventional PCR technique and Real Time PCR we can determine the presence or absence of pathogenic agents (viral, bacterial, etc.)in semen, blood, urine, faeces samples, etc.and the degree of infection.Among others, it is worth highlighting the infections produced by Psedomonas spp, Micrococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp, Klebsiella spp, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter spp, Proteus spp, Actinomyces spp, Serratia spp, Enterobacter spp, Bacillus spp, Streptococcus spp, Flavobacterium spp, Actinobacillus spp, Acinetobacter spp, Lactobacillus spp, Bacteroides spp, Coryne bacterium spp, Neisseria spp, Providencia spp, Pasteurella spp, Enterobacter spp, etc.We can also detect viruses porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), African swine fever virus (ASFV), foot-and-mouth disease, swine vesicular disease, porcine circovirus type 2, porcine pavovirus infection (PPV), swine influenza and picornavirus, porcine adenovirus, enterovirus, reovirus, norovirus and sapovirus, torque-tenovirus, torovirus, etc.
