Procedure for ethical review according to the field of research

In order to obtain the ethical assessment report, a different procedure must be followed depending on the type of research being carried out:

  1. Research with peopleandResearch using biological agents, whether genetically modified or not, that pose a risk to human, animal, or plant health. Managed by the CEBRUdG: CEBRUdG procedures. It should be noted that for the CEBRUdG to evaluate the projects, a request must be made 30 days prior to the date of the meeting. 
  2. Research in the field of clinical research. This needs to be obtained through the Clinical Research Ethics Committee (CEIC) of the Dr Josep Trueta University Hospital in Girona, accredited since 1993.Check the website,  then send a copy of the report to the CEBRUdG.
  3. Research in the field of animal experimentation. This needs to be obtained through the Ethics Committee in Animal and Human Experimentation (CCEAH) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Check the website.Then send a copy of the report to the CEBRUdG.
