Lines of research

Line 1. Welfare State, social policies and inequalities

Analysis of the social impact of the Welfare State, social and family policies, and of the socio-demographic processes associated with the ageing population. Study of attention to dependence, anti-agism policies and the contribution to reducing inequalities and improving individual and collective well-being.

Line 2. Economic model, labour market and social welfare

Analysis of the social impact of the economic model and the labour market in the public and private sector, with special attention to social, gender and opportunities inequalities, working conditions and socio-occupational inclusion.

Line 3. Organisations, entrepreneurship and social impact

Analysis and evaluation of the social impact of public, private, third-sector and social and solidarity organisations, as well as entrepreneurship, the generation of well-being, social cohesion and sustainable development. Study of organisational, governance and social-value creation models.

Line 4. Gender equality, diversity and inclusion in organisations

Analysis of the social impact of gender equality, ethnic and cultural diversity policies and inclusion in organisations. Study of successful experiences and cases, including those led or driven by women, from a feminist perspective, with attention to effectiveness, conditions of success and potential for replicability.

Line 5. Digital transformation, technology and society

Analysis of the social impact of advanced digital technologies in organisations and public policies, including artificial intelligence, big data and machine learning. Study of digital inclusion, access gaps, digital literacy, ethics, regulation and transformations in working conditions.

Line 6. Governance, sustainability, ethics and institutional quality

Analysis of the social impact of governance models, sustainability, organisational ethics, transparency and institutional quality in public, private and third-sector organisations, as well as their contribution to social responsibility and the generation of social value.

Line 7. Public policies, funding and development in international contexts

Analysis of the social and economic impact of public policies, innovative financial instruments and organisations in the processes of development and social inclusion, with special attention to emerging economies and comparative and international approaches.
