The goal of this course is to introduce students to all the steps needed to develop a CADx medical system, i.e. a system that helps doctors make a diagnosis. Topics covered include the traditional approach to image segmentation, characterisation and classification, as well as cutting-edge deep learning technology.
This course focuses on the digital environment in clinical settings, including the different computerised systems currently used in everyday clinical practise, the field of digital storage and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), the exchange of information techniques through medical protocols and automatic and semi-automatic annotation tools designed for experts which can be integrated into learning platforms.
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the field of scientific research looking at both management tasks and research dissemination.
The master's thesis will allow students to demonstrate the maturity and scientific-technical level they have reached during the education process.Students will draft a written report about the process and they will also have to defend their work in front of a panel made up of teachers from the master
