Migratory movements have an unavoidable material basis, meaning they can partly be explained by the unequal distribution of income and the power between different groups.This subject seeks to analyse these causes interpreting migratory movements in the light of the economic and geopolitical conflicts of the contemporary world.In addition, the course looks at the similarities and differences in the geopolitical areas of Europe and North America, as well as populist movements, civic mobilisations and the political conflict generated there.

This subject has the goal of discussing the challenge of the UN 2030 Agenda on sustainable development, which highlights that migrants can enjoy a decent job and have their basic labour rights covered.Work will also look at how decent jobs can become one of the main instruments for the inclusion of the migrant population in the reception country.
