Integration of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the main issues with the vestibular system and their assessment and treatment from the point of view of the physiotherapist.Over the course of the subject, students will learn all the stages involved in functional assessment, prognosis and treatment with the latest available technology, always based on the characteristics of the pathology and taking into account the actual reality of the patient, in keeping with the clinical presentation of the case and compatible with current scientific evidence.Students will carry out the corresponding therapeutic manoeuvres, treatment plans based on therapeutic exercise and initial objective assessment measures or progression measures for the patient.There will be a particular emphasis on identifying red flags, indicators that need to be flagged up to a professional collaborator, profiles of patients who are most suitable for rehabilitation and those that will have greater difficulty making improvements.

In this subject, students will learn the basics of digital health, defined by the European Commission as the series of tools and services that use information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and management of health-related issues and to monitor and manage lifestyle habits that impact on health, through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, resolving practical cases and developing group projects.They will also learn how digital health offers a unique opportunity to address the challenges of the health system and how it can be used within physiotherapy to meet the needs of patients depending on their health issue, existing tools and current regulations.Also, in a cross-disciplinary way, students will learn about and use various digital health tools, they will learn strategies for empowering patients so they can take a more active role in decision-making about their healthcare, and use gamification to improve the adherence of patients and manage the digital reputation.

Application of the capacity to assess and intervene in neurological patients from two different perspectives of neurorehabilitation: Cognitive Therapeutic Exercise (Perfetti method) and Bobath Concept.During the subject, students will work in groups and using the case method to develop all the different stages involved in rehabilitation reasoning: from assessing the neurological patient (motor, sensory and cognitive assessment), interpretation of the impairments observed, proposal of functional treatment objectives and proposal and application of treatment.Finally the re-evaluation required in each case and situation.Through clinical reasoning, students will work practically on different cases that will enable them to acquire the skills needed for different pathologies: Stroke, Parkinsons disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis.Throughout the recovery route, from the acute, subacute or chronic patient.

Practicals in clinical and dynamic diagnosis, with the use of technologies applied to health sciences.Students will resolve real clinical cases using valid and reliable tools which will be studied in three large blocks: biomechanical analysis on a bicycle, analysis of the sports career and footwear, and analysis of the physiological and pathological progress.We will be using postural photogrammetry technology, video recording, pressure platforms and computer software.During the course, students will work in groups using the scientific method, in order to obtain qualitative and quantitative data on the patient that will enable them to produce an accurate report on their occupational ergonomics and movement when they practise sports activities.In each case, they will have to decide which is the most appropriate therapeutic approach and which ergonomic correction measures the individual requires to improve their health and performance in accordance with the results obtained from the analysis.

Integration of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the main issues with the vestibular system and their assessment and treatment from the point of view of the physiotherapist.Over the course of the subject, students will learn all the stages involved in functional assessment, prognosis and treatment with the latest available technology, always based on the characteristics of the pathology and taking into account the actual reality of the patient, in keeping with the clinical presentation of the case and compatible with current scientific evidence.Students will carry out the corresponding therapeutic manoeuvres, treatment plans based on therapeutic exercise and initial objective assessment measures or progression measures for the patient.There will be a particular emphasis on identifying red flags, indicators that need to be flagged up to a professional collaborator, profiles of patients who are most suitable for rehabilitation and those that will have greater difficulty making improvements.

In this subject, students will learn the basics of digital health, defined by the European Commission as the series of tools and services that use information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and management of health-related issues and to monitor and manage lifestyle habits that impact on health, through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, resolving practical cases and developing group projects.They will also learn how digital health offers a unique opportunity to address the challenges of the health system and how it can be used within physiotherapy to meet the needs of patients depending on their health issue, existing tools and current regulations.Also, in a cross-disciplinary way, students will learn about and use various digital health tools, they will learn strategies for empowering patients so they can take a more active role in decision-making about their healthcare, and use gamification to improve the adherence of patients and manage the digital reputation.

Application of the capacity to assess and intervene in neurological patients from two different perspectives of neurorehabilitation: Cognitive Therapeutic Exercise (Perfetti method) and Bobath Concept.During the subject, students will work in groups and using the case method to develop all the different stages involved in rehabilitation reasoning: from assessing the neurological patient (motor, sensory and cognitive assessment), interpretation of the impairments observed, proposal of functional treatment objectives and proposal and application of treatment.Finally the re-evaluation required in each case and situation.Through clinical reasoning, students will work practically on different cases that will enable them to acquire the skills needed for different pathologies: Stroke, Parkinsons disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis.Throughout the recovery route, from the acute, subacute or chronic patient.

Practicals in clinical and dynamic diagnosis, with the use of technologies applied to health sciences.Students will resolve real clinical cases using valid and reliable tools which will be studied in three large blocks: biomechanical analysis on a bicycle, analysis of the sports career and footwear, and analysis of the physiological and pathological progress.We will be using postural photogrammetry technology, video recording, pressure platforms and computer software.During the course, students will work in groups using the scientific method, in order to obtain qualitative and quantitative data on the patient that will enable them to produce an accurate report on their occupational ergonomics and movement when they practise sports activities.In each case, they will have to decide which is the most appropriate therapeutic approach and which ergonomic correction measures the individual requires to improve their health and performance in accordance with the results obtained from the analysis.

Put into practise the ability to identify and manage clinically complex cases, based on the pain and incapacity cased by neuromuscular-skeletal complaints.Over the course of the subject, students will work in groups and using the case method, to develop all the stages involved in diagnosis, prognosis and management of the complex case based on the characteristics of the pathology (plausible, in keeping with the reality of the patient, acceptable, with the clinical presentation of the case, and compatible with available scientific evidence), the expectations of the patient and the characteristics of their environment.Through clinical reasoning, all the cognitive, metacognitive and decision-making skills will be mobilised to work on example cases of both serious injuries and chronic problems.Finally and in a practical way, students will carry out the diagnostic tests and propose the therapeutic and reassessment measures required in each case and situation.
