Brief introduction to Science Communication (scientific research) Delivery of a practical exercise on the search of bibliography of a given a research topic. 5
Oral communication techniques. Research 2.0: blog and social network activity. Students will be required to post in a collaborative blog, while being active in science-oriented social networks. 10
Face-to-face and online best practices in science communication The evaluation will consider the performance on oral communications (both face-to-face and online) and the hability to communicate to both a specialized and non-specialized audience.

Writting a scientific paper The avaluation will focus on the structure and format of the paper, as well as the internal coherence and logics of the discussion. 30
R+D project writing. Emulating an actual R+D call. Evaluation will consider the ability of the student to write convincing research projects. 25
Innovation and Technology Transfer. Technology Valorization Excercise: Analysis of Technology Transfer Opportunities from a specific project. 20

Qualificació

Criteria for grading has been provided for each task, along with its percentatge within the overal grade. All evaluation activities are compulsory and must be fulfilled individually (minimum: 4 out of 10 each).

NP will be given only if the student does not complete any of the evaluable activities

Avaluació única:
Students who take the single assessment ("Avaluació única") will have as their assessment activities the five ones described. The minimum mark of each part to pass the subject must be 5.0 out of 10. The final grade will their weighted sum.

Requisits mínims per aprovar:
A minimum grade of 5.0 out of 10 must be obtained to pass the subject. This grade is obtained by the weitghed sum of the six grades corresponding to each evaluable task.

Tutoria

Tutorials (Face-to-face preferentially but also via Moodle, Google Meet or email) can be scheduled at times agreed with the teachers via e-mail.

Comunicacio i interacció amb l'estudiantat

Communication and interaction with students will be done through Moodle platform, using the notice forum. e-mail should remain a one-off event.

Observacions

Students are strongly advised to be fluent in reading English. Good performance in written English is also recommended.

Students should have a prior, fair knowledge on using communication tools over the Internet and social networks.

Miquel Duran, Sílvia Simon and Albert Poater will deliver blocks 1 and 2. (ca. 33% of the course)
Miquel Solà will deliver block 3. (ca. 22% of the course)
Antony Stasyuk and Olga Stasyuk will deliver block 4. (ca. 33% of the course)
Eduard Bardají will deliver block 5. (ca. 17% of the course)

During this course, the students will have to choose a topic of research and all exercices will be about the topic chosen.

Modificació del disseny

Modificació de les activitats:
Blended scenario: expositive classes will be held face-to-face in the classroom for one half of the class, while being streamed for the other half.

UdG closure scenario: some expositive classes with be recorded by instructors and provided to students. Other classes will be held synchronously with Blackboard Collaborate. Further support will be provided to students.

Vulnerable/confined students: all material will be provided through the Moodle platform, along with additional video-recorded material.
