- Class sessions will be according to the specified timetable on-site. -Study of the conservation principles in solid mechanics. Equations of movement and behaviour in material mechanics. Definition of strain and stress. Elasticity. Test in mechanical laboratory, extensometry and digital image correlation. Failure criteria. Introduction to damage and plasticity modelling. Examples of engineering problems

Grading

The final mark is obtained from the average of the activities.
The minimum mark to pass the subject is 5/10.

Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
An "absent" mark (NP) will be given to those students who have not delivered any of the activities after 1st of December.

Single Assessment:
Individual practical work and final exam.

Mentorship

Tutorships can be either on-line or face-to-face. Electronic mail can be also used to solve questions or doubts and set tutorship appointments out of the specified times frames.

Communication and interaction with students

Communication with students will be via e-mail and the News forum of the course’s Moodle. Individual on-line and face-to-face meetings will be possible for a personalised monitoring.
