Continuous Ordinary Call
Intended for in-person students. The student’s performance in solving cases, exercises, and assignments completed during the semester will be assessed through:
• Case analysis and exercise resolution (30% of the final grade)
• Monographic paper (30% of the final grade)
• Theoretical-practical assessment test (40% of the final grade): a final exam that will include all course contents (divided into two parts: the first covering Topics 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the second covering Topics 5, 6, 7, and 8).
Minimum requirements to pass: To pass the continuous assessment, in addition to achieving a grade of five points in the weighted average of all grades, the grade for the theoretical-practical assessment test must be at least five points. If this call is not passed, it may be retaken in the extraordinary call.
Single Ordinary Call
This will be taken by both non-in-person students and those who have chosen single assessment (waiving continuous assessment). It will consist of a theoretical-practical test covering all course contents and worth 100% of the final grade. If this call is not passed, it may be retaken in the extraordinary call.
To request single assessment for the course when a student considers that they cannot undergo continuous ordinary assessment due to irresolvable work schedule conflicts (external internships are not considered), long-term health problems, serious family reasons, or relevant academic difficulties, the student must submit the request through the online secretary’s office, attaching the relevant documentation. The deadline is 09-28-2026.
Minimum requirements to pass: a grade of at least 5.00 points must be obtained on the theoretical-practical test.
Extraordinary Call
Students (in-person and non-in-person) who have not passed the ordinary call (in either its continuous or single modality) must take a theoretical-practical test covering all course contents and worth 100% of the final grade.

Economic science and its practical application to economic reality, at both the microeconomic and macroeconomic levels, are constantly evolving. Since this course aims to provide students with its fundamental contents, and because new developments and news arise every day, students are advised to follow current economic affairs through the media (mainly radio, television, newspapers, and, above all, general and specialized online press websites).
In addition, all students are advised to:
• Be aware of the significant value of presenting the monographic paper in class before their classmates, due to its importance in their training as students in a University Degree.
• Attend individual tutoring sessions, as they are a proven method of support for learning and are highly useful and beneficial, especially in cases where students encounter greater difficulty understanding the course contents.
Attendance will be checked at the beginning of each session for purely statistical purposes. Attendance is not mandatory, although it is strongly recommended. Punctuality at the beginning of classes is required so that sessions can proceed with as little disruption as possible. Since attendance at sessions is not mandatory, students are required to show absolute respect for the teaching staff and the rest of the students (otherwise, they will be asked to leave the classroom).
Throughout the course, several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be addressed or applied, specifically those related to no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, responsible consumption and production, peace, justice and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals.
The gender perspective will also be incorporated into the development of the sessions, and various transferable competencies (soft skills) will be worked on, such as resilience, critical thinking, commitment, integrity, empathy, growth mindset, continuous and independent learning, data analysis, professionalism, responsibility, professional ethics, and problem solving.
