Curs acadèmic:
- 2025
-

| Witten report |
In groups of four or five, students will prepare a written report that addresses the course objectives; specific guidelines on length, formatting, and submission will be provided in the introductory class, and the finished work will be graded on its content accuracy, logical organization, clarity of writing and editing, and overall scientific rigor and presentation quality. |

| Reflective learning activity |
At the beginning and end of the module, each student will submit a brief written reflection; both pieces will be assessed not only on the substance of the answers but also on the quality of their justification and the clarity with which they contextualise their responses. |

Qualificació
Evaluation consists of five parts: PBL sessions, the PBL exam, the written composition, the health-promotion activity, and the reflective activity. A minimum passing grade of four is required to average the scores, except for PBL sessions, which must be passed independently.
If the PBL exams is failed, a second opportunity will be provided. The highest mark that can be awarded for reassessment of failed activities is 5, regardless of the score actually achieved in the make-up exam. This mark will be averaged with the grades the student has already earned in the other assessable activities previously passed.
The minimum percentage of compulsory attendance for PBL activities and Workshops-PBL is 80%. Failure to meet this attendance requirement will result in the module being failed, regardless of other scores.
FRAUDULENT CONDUCT:
If fraudulent conduct is detected in any academic activity (unauthorised use of information, use of false information, use of unauthorised devices, identity impersonation, total or partial plagiarism, buying or selling exams, practical work or assignments, etc.), the students involved will automatically fail the course, irrespective of any disciplinary proceedings that may be brought against the offending student (Article 21 of the Regulations governing student assessment and grading processes, approved by the Governing Council in session 11/2019 of 16 December 2019, eBOU-1751).
USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES:
The use of AI tools in assessment activities is not permitted. Any use of AI will be considered academic fraud and, consequently, the students involved will automatically fail the course, regardless of any disciplinary action that may follow.
All student responses in assessment tests may be analysed by software to determine whether artificial intelligence was used to generate them. If AI use is detected, it will be treated as academic fraud: the tests will not be marked by any lecturer and the student will automatically fail the course, independent of any disciplinary proceedings that may ensue (Article 21 of the Regulations governing student assessment and grading processes, approved by the Governing Council in session 11/2019 of 16 December 2019, eBOU-1751).
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
The ‘No Presentat’ (NP) grade is reserved for students who do not take part in any of the assessment activities: PBL sessions, the PBL exam, the written composition, the health-promotion activity, and the reflective activity.
Avaluació única:
The regulations for single assessment are established based on the Regulations governing the processes of student assessment and grading, approved by the Governing Council in session 11/2019, on 16 December 2019 (eBOU-1751), and the resolution of the Governing Commission of the Faculty of Medicine on 15 September 2020.
Students may exceptionally opt for single assessment. By opting for it, they waive continuous assessment. Point 2 of Article 8 of the resolution of the Governing Commission of the Faculty of Medicine on 15 September 2020 stipulates that single assessment may be requested when the interested party considers that they cannot undergo continuous assessment due to unforeseen events, such as health problems, serious family reasons, or other long-term issues.
Students who decide to request single assessment must do so by submitting a communication to the registry of the Academic Secretariat, specifying in the corresponding form the modules for which they are requesting said single assessment. Students who have already taken the assessments cannot opt for this. Point 3 of Article 8 states that requests for single assessment must be submitted no later than one week before the end of the module. If the student has attended an equal or greater number than 2/3 of the PBL sessions of the corresponding module and has not communicated otherwise, the PBL tutorials will be assessed. Justified absences from PBL sessions will be considered within the mentioned 2/3.
Single assessment will consist on a PBL exam: PBL exam Part 1 (70%) and PBL exam Part 2 (30%).
Requisits mínims per aprovar:
The students will pass the subject with a minimum qualification of 5.0.
Tutoria
Mentoring sessions will be conducted weekly alongside the PBL sessions. Students may also request one-to-one meetings with their tutor or coordinator, which must be arranged in advance via email.
Comunicació i interacció amb l'estudiantat
Communication and interaction with students will be conducted via email or Moodle. Additionally, these interactions can occur in person during face-to-face activities.
Observacions
The module integrates a gender perspective transversally into the learning objectives, teaching methodology, bibliographic sources, and assessment.
It is recommended to attend this elective module only after successfully completing the modules on Structure and Function of the Human Body (M2, M3, M5, and M6).

PBL ACTIVITIES: will be conducted via a virtual platform, following the on-site schedule.
LECTURES: If all students can attend in person without exceeding occupancy limits, lectures will be held on-site. Otherwise, they will be conducted via videoconference on a virtual platform, following the on-site schedule.
WORKSHOPS: will be held on-site as scheduled.
SEMINARS - GROUPS ACTIVITY (Written report, health promotion and reflective learning): When occupancy limits permit, seminars will be held on-site. Otherwise, they will be conducted via a virtual platform, following the on-site schedule.
II. Scenario where all activities must be conducted remotely:
PBL ACTIVITIES: will be conducted via a virtual platform, following the on-site schedule.
LECTURES: will be conducted via a virtual platform, following the on-site schedule.
WORKSHOPS: If feasible, workshops will be conducted via synchronous videoconference on a virtual platform. Alternatively, workshop leaders will provide virtual materials (tutorials, images, links, etc.) via Moodle when synchronous sessions are not possible.
SEMINARS - GROUPS ACTIVITY: will be conducted via a virtual platform.
Modificació de l'avaluació:
The evaluation percentages will remain unchanged in all scenarios.
Exams will be conducted on-site when occupancy limits permit. If on-site exams are not feasible, they will be conducted via a virtual platform, following the scheduled times.
Tutoria i comunicació:
In all scenarios, email and Moodle will serve as valid communication channels. Students will be able to request one-to-one meetings with their tutor or coordinator, which may also be conducted via videoconference in any scenario. In all cases, meetings must be arranged in advance via email.
