Avaluació i qualificació

Activitats d'avaluació:

Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat % Recuperable

Learning Abilities (25%)
Communication (25%)
Responsibility (25%)
Interpersonal Relationship (25%)
60 No
PBL exam. Part 1 In the first part, the students will have to describe and analyze a picture related to the content of the course. 20

Qualificació

The PBL sessions count as a 60% of the total grade. They can not be re-taken and a qualification below 50/100 means that the course is not aproved.
The PBL exam counts as 40% of the total qualification, divided in 20% the first part and 20% the second part. Both parts can be retaken once.

In the case of retaking the PBL exam, the qualification for these/this can not be higher than 50% of the maximum qualification. In case that the remade work is passed, this qualification will be averaged with the qualification obtained in the PBL sessions evaluation, according to the established percentage.

Attendance to workshops and seminars is not mandatory but it will add additional points.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Not attending the PBL tutorials

Avaluació única:
In exceptional situations, previously defined by the "Comissió de Govern de la Facultat de Medicina", students can be evaluated by a unique assessment. For this subject, students will be requested to do a written essay that should cover the learning objectives of the elective, and a PBL exam (Parts 1 and 2). The written essay will represent 60% of the total grade and the PBL exam will be 40% of the total grade. Both parts need to be passed independently with 50% of the maximum grade.

Based on the resolution of the Governing Committee of the Faculty of Medicine of September 15, 2020, point 3 of Article 8 states that applications for single evaluation must be submitted no later than one week before the end of the module

Requisits mínims per aprovar:
To pass this subject, a minimum qualification of 50% of the maximum grade is necessary. The global grade will result from the weighted average of the PBL tutorial evaluation and the PBL exam. To pass each part with 50% of the maximum grade is not requested. However, a minimum of 50% of the total grade must be obtained in the PBL tutorial evaluation.

Tutoria

The students can request a one-to-one meeting with their tutor or the coordinator for anything related to their study. These tutorials can be on-site or virtual and must be arranged with the tutor previously by e-mail.

Comunicacio i interacció amb l'estudiantat

Communication with students will be performed either via e-mail or Moodle. Interaction with students will be either on-site or by videoconferences.
The institutional e-mail, which appears in the elective's information, is validated as a communication tool between teachers and students.

Observacions

The act of “seeing” is inseparable from medical training. Physicians are constantly required to “look for” signs and symptoms from the human body, describe what is being observed, and make diagnosis. The skills of observation, description, and interpretation of visual information are inherent in the artistic creative process and art appreciation. Through the examination of artworks, this course aims to improve the students’ visual literacy and attention to details, and to foster the ability to transfer these skills to the clinical setting. In addition, the students will be exposed to artistic depictions of health-related issues in different social and historical backgrounds.

Modificació del disseny

Modificació de les activitats:
All activities have been designed to be carried out on-site.

If we move to a scenario of 50% capacity, workshops (except for the visit to the Dali Museum), seminars, specific PBL problem sesions and PBL exam (part 1 and 2) will take place via a virtual platform.

Modificació de l'avaluació:
The PBL exam will be done on site, unless otherwise is necessary.

Tutoria i comunicació:
E-mail and moodle will continue being a valid communication mean. The students can still request one-to-one meetings with their tutor or coordinator, which in case of a change in scenario, will be virtual. These meeting must be arranged previously by e-mail.
The institutional e-mail, which appears in the elective's information, is validated as a communication tool between teachers and students.
