Do you want to take on the challenge?

The Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation and we, the University of Girona, challenge researchers in education to explain their research in no more than four minutes in simple, easily understandable language.

The challenge consists of a preliminary phase in which participants will be competing at the level of the University of Girona. Participants must record a video, which the UdG will publish on its Youtube channel  for people to vote on. The 10 most-liked videos will take part in the UdG final where participants will present their research to a panel in a session that will also be open to the public. The winning participant will represent the UdG at the inter-university final.

Preliminary phase at the UdG

To take part you must record a video of at most 2 minutes (240 seconds) showing your research in an easily understandable way. Upload it right away to your Youtube channel as “unlisted”and fill in the following application form. You have time until 21 March. 

On 10 April the University of Girona will make participants’ videos available on its </g>Youtube channel and the public will be able to vote for their favourites until 12 noon on 24 April. 

On 26 April the University of Girona will make the 10 most liked presentations public and these participants will be invited to the internal UdG final, which will be held in front of a panel of judges on 7 May. The participant who wins this phase will represent the University of Girona in the inter-university final of the competition organised by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation in Barcelona (FCRI) .

Final phase in Barcelona

This consists of a 4-minute presentation at a single session open to the public in the city of Barcelona during the month of June 2019. Representatives of the 12 Catalan universities will compete with each other in this final phase in front of a jury appointed by the FCRI
