The Planning and Assessment Office (GPA), created in 1999 with the aim of supporting the University of Girona’s institutional development in the areas of strategic planning, evaluation and quality, academic programming, and information systems for decision-making, will be renamed, effective September 1, 2025, as the Data Planning, Quality, and Analysis Office (GPQAD).
With this new name, the GPQAD assumes the following functions:
- Supporting institutional development in strategic planning and project coordination in the GPQAD’s sphere of action.
- Academic programming (management of the degree map and the course plan).
- Technical management of the VSMA Framework.
- Management and monitoring of quality assurance and improvement system.
- Technical and methodological support in the areas of study in quality processes and, in particular, accreditation and certification.
- Driving quality instruments and strategies.
- Data processing and analysis to informed decision-making.
- Coordinating, preparing, and disseminating relevant information to governing bodies.
- Data warehousing: integrating information systems.
- Interacting with external organisations for the management of institutional data (UNEIX, DGU, SIIU, INE, CRUE, etc.).
